Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician with proven experience in Siemens PLCs and Ignition (Perspective & Vision) to design, implement, and support robust industrial automation solutions. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle—from design and development through commissioning, optimization, and client support—working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Control System Design & Development
Design and implement Siemens PLC-based control systems for industrial applications.
Develop, configure, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA solutions.
Integrate Canary Historian for data collection, storage, and reporting.
2. Industrial Networking & Systems Integration
Design and implement industrial Ethernet networks (Profinet and Managed Networks).
Ensure secure and high-performance communication between control systems, HMIs, and historians.
3. Commissioning & Support
Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and on-site commissioning.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex control system and network issues.
Provide technical documentation and system handover to clients.
4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work alongside project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Contribute to system standardization and best practice initiatives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
National Diploma, B.Tech, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 years in control system design and implementation.
Project History: Proven experience delivering complete industrial automation projects in hands-on environments.
Core Software: Proficiency in Ignition SCADA (Perspective & Vision) is mandatory.
Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and performance.
Technical Proficiencies
Siemens PLCs: Design, programming, and commissioning.
SCADA/Historian: Ignition (Perspective & Vision) and Canary Historian.
Industrial Networking: * Profinet
