Vacancy Portal's Application Tip
For this FAIS Supervisor position, applicants should avoid presenting themselves simply as insurance administrators or general compliance employees. The strongest CV will show direct involvement in financial advisor supervision, competency assessment and regulatory monitoring.
If you have maintained competency registers, conducted supervision sessions, monitored Fit and Proper requirements, performed DOFA vetting, reviewed sales or replacement transactions, or coached financial advisors on compliance matters, make these responsibilities prominent in your CV.
It is also useful to show the outcome of your compliance work. For example, instead of simply stating that you "monitored advisors," explain that you reviewed sales activity, identified compliance gaps, provided corrective feedback and followed up on remedial actions. This gives the recruiter a clearer picture of your practical supervisory experience.
Applicants with RE1 / RE5 examinations, FAIS training or other relevant compliance certifications should make these credentials easy to find on their CV.
