Vacancy Portal's Application Tip

For this Health & Safety Administrator position, applicants should make their CV demonstrate both administrative ability and Health & Safety exposure. Don't simply list "Microsoft Office" or "administration" as skills. Show the type of records, registers, reports, compliance documents or scheduling activities you have handled.

If you have worked in a manufacturing, warehouse, plant, construction, mining or industrial environment, make that experience easy to identify on your CV where it is relevant to the position. Experience maintaining training records, coordinating inductions, tracking corrective actions, preparing audit documentation or managing compliance files can be particularly useful for this type of role.

If you have completed SAMTRAC, Health and Safety coursework or have knowledge of the OHS Act, place this information clearly in your qualifications or skills section rather than leaving it buried at the bottom of your CV.
