Requirements


Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Investment Management, Financial Management, Financial Analysis or related field
  • Mathematics and Statistics, Data Analytics', Quantitative finance or related field

 

Advantageous

  • An Honours degree
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments, and portfolio management principles
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, or other data visualisation and automation tools would be advantageous.
  • Working towards, or an interest in pursuing, professional qualifications such as:
  • CFA Program (Level I or higher)
  • FRM
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Investments, Financial Markets, Data Science, or Analytics

Knowledge & Experience

  • Functional ability to use MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • South African citizens aged between 18 and 25 years.
  • Unemployed at the time of application.
  • First-time participants in theYouth Employment Services (YES) Programme.

    What you can expect as an Intern in the Multi-Management Investments Team:

    We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Investments Intern to join our Multi-Management Investments team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about investments, financial markets, data, and technology, and enjoys working with numbers to solve problems and uncover insights.

    As an intern, you will work closely with Investment Analysts and Portfolio Managers, supporting investment research, manager analysis, client reporting, and market insights. You will help prepare client presentations, build dashboards, perform competitor analysis, and assist with financial modelling.

    You will also have the opportunity to improve data quality, automate manual reports, and help streamline investment reporting and data processes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining investment thinking with data analysis and technology to improve decision-making and reporting.

    We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn about the investment industry while making a meaningful contribution to the team.
